This book was cute It took me awhile to get into it though. The book is about a young woman named Sarah who has dreams of becoming a soap star, even though her Asian family is totally against it. She moves to LA thinking she has a boyfriend in Daniel, the cutie producer hunk who likes her. I loved her friends in the book, they were delightful and I wish we could have known more about them. Overall, an easy read a little one dimensional and flat, I mean you won't feel anything for the main charac [...]

I was so disappointed by this book. I'm not a huge, huge soap opera fan, but I was enjoying this book until the end. It was very fun to follow Sara's trials and tribulations while she tried to get her "big break" as a soap opera actress. I shared her enthusiasm for her small victories - getting invited to industry parties, finding an apartment, getting a day job, getting her first callback, etc but I was also following her romance with Daniel, the Chinese-American producer on one of her favorite [...]

This wasn't the best book or even one of them that I have read recently. But I guess that it wasn't the worst. I was able to finish this one.I thought that this would be a cute read. A young Asian woman wants to become a Soap Opera Star. She feels her parents don't necessarily support her decision. She meets a cute Producer that works on her favorite show. She watches General Hospital with her BFF and has long discussions about them. What could be so bad about a story with all of this?Maybe the [...]

I'm making myself finish this book, because I gave up on the last book I was reading and I hate doing that. I have 3 major issues with this book so far:1. Overwhelmingly, I feel less like I'm reading a book, and more like I'm reading the scripts of several commercials. Mostly for the Sidekick and Diane von Furstenberg. Do I need to know she answered her Sidekick? No, I just need to know she answered her phone. Do I need to know her lululemon tank top was sweaty? No. I feel like it's okay to leav [...]

Quite a boring book.I felt as if the ending was rather rushed. The male character was, in my opinion bland and sometimes , I had trouble getting through some sections of the book. The only upside to this book was probably the main protagonist, feisty. hot tempered and momentarily confused. Don't expect too much from this book if you are looking for a really good, must read. This is just one of those books you would probably keep in your home, gathering dust.

If I remember correctly (and I am pretty sure I do) I did not like this book at all

This was an easy read. Not good or bad but basic. I was looking for a nice, laid back, read-by-the-pool-read and this was it.

      Easy, fast, fluffy.

Not very good. Couldn't even get through it all
