I'm surprised this volume only had one game - and neither the start nor the finish of the game are in it! It felt like an entire saga was in this volume! I'm definitely gonna read volume 6!

The fifth volume continues with the exhibition game, and with it, continues with your typical sport manga developments: one player gets injured and he's told to rest but he continues playing (really?, cough cough), the 'good guys' after the horrible start, step up and the game becomes tight, but the other team was not really trying beforeGood for us, Inoue adds some layers to the proceedings: Hanamichi gets the chance to play, and with it, we get some interesting and funny moments, as his totall [...]

okay so im giving this whole series 5 stars, not for it's literary content (it is manga afterall!) but for the nostalgia it brings me and its humor. i read this whole series as it was being published back in the early-mid 90s, when i was in junior high and high school. I read the korean translation as it was a huge hit in korea at the time. i remember going to the local bookstore every two months for the new copy. the lady at the bookstore always saved one for me. during my last trip back home t [...]

eventhou i'm not really like the scract that seem so rough but the story is ok's about some guy name Sakuragi Hanamichi, that use to be a deliquent become basketball player because he like the basketball manager. the setting is in a high school.

It was so cool ~ Sakuragi is a guy who can pull tricks up his sleeves. And I'm seeing that he'll be on better terms with Rukawa , as long as there's no love triangle , but there is one already-- kind of.

The game is still going on in this volume and you're left with another cliffhanger! Onto volume 6 I must go!

This volume was ok, but most of the time I wish something more would happen. These past two volumes haven't been that interesting really.
