just a heads up…when starting “Erin Moynahan” by Brian George make sure you don’t have anywhere you need to be or anything you need to do because you won’t want to stop reading until you’ve finished it all!! Trust me on this! (and it’s a long book! HA! )The book starts off with an intriguing beginning that established the ‘secretive military’ lifestyle of Erin’s father, Steven, and his wife (a neurologist) named Tessa. It gives a glimpse into the danger and intrigue of their [...]

Title: Publisher’s Read Erin Moynahan by Brian GeorgeReviewed by T’s Blogging09/17/15 10:07 a.m.Death is quickly approaching and there's nothing anyone can do, but for whatever reason Erin's parents, refuses to allow the disease to kill her. With no other choice but to try an experimental drug on their child something spectacular takes place, and Erin will never be the same. From the very beginning of this YA novel, readers will become absorbed in a tale that evolves into an action-pack read [...]

3.5 starsI admit it took me some time to get into this book, and at first I wasn’t really sure where it was going. I think the start was a bit slow… too much setting the stage and talking about events in the past – really should’ve started closer to Erin’s cancer and getting her powers from the serum. But the more I read on, the more I got into it, and found myself thoroughly enjoying this interesting world and alternative reality Brian George writes of. Overall the characters and stor [...]

4.5 stars"Erin Moynahan” by Brian George is one of the more interesting and creative YA/ dystopian/action novels I’ve read lately! I was completely drawn in from the opening pages as the ‘military’ world-building is set with Erin’s father (which is crucial in later developments) and we meet Erin as a young child. When she almost dies, her mother gives her a serum and it turns her into something quite special Won’t give too much away, but I was surprised that even for a premise that s [...]

I am of somewhat mixed feelings on this novel, “Erin Moynahan” by Brian George. On one hand it is very creatively written with some of the most interesting and unique characters I’ve read in a long time, and I liked how each of them had their own unique set of circumstances and brought something fun and different to the table (I actually really liked Ecatrina/Kat). Erin is great and it’s fun to watch her ‘evolve’ and handle business, and I liked her dad and Benj, too. But on the othe [...]

wow, what a crazy fun action adventure book! I’m not one for rehashing the plot (that’s what the summary is for on the book description page), but trust me when I say you’ve never read anything like this before! This is a great book for high-schoolers on up, and I thought it had a great combination of creativity, humor, and intelligence, special powers, friendship, danger, facing challenges, learning to be strong, overcoming adversity and obstacles… I like how everything came together at [...]

4.5"Erin Moynahan” by Brian George was an entertaining, emotional, almost surreal, fantasy/dystopian novel that pushes the boundaries of typical YA literature. It probably took me until almost half way through to really get hooked, but once I was, I was all in and didn’t want to put it down until I was finished. I’ve read a lot of teen/young adult and it’s hard to surprise me, but this book did more than once. I am in awe of the author’s imagination and ability to weave together a stor [...]
