Glad this was a library loan. Backyard chickens and hunting wild game are not in my immediate or even distant future. What really turned me off were the images of the author; far more appropriate for Vogue than a book on frugal living. Seriously, who reclines in a chicken coop? The Fig Bread recipe may be a keeper, verdict coming soon -- it is baking in the oven.
