Rating 3.5Worth Every Risk was very well-written and fast paced with a very determined and resourceful heroine who had gotten a raw deal in life but never gave up.Angel thought that she got a good opportunity with her new job, no more menial jobs for her ever since her father and an over-zealous law-enforcement people got her convicted and sent to jail for a year(on a drug charge), causing her to lose her athletic scholarship to Stanford but as it turns out she was wrong, her boss is a crook and [...]

Brilliant!! Now THIS BOOK is what i LOVE about Romantic Suspense; a gritty suspenseful story AND enough steam to make me squirm (in a GOOD way :) ). As this is an introduction to the Slye Temp series which comes out next year, i am TOTALLY excited and CANNOT WAIT to read Joshua and Trish's story!!!! February can't come soon enough! I'll be eagerly waiting Ms. Love!!!

Free today, 1/15/14, for Kindle: amazon/gp/product/B00ACover blurb: A new romantic suspense from New York Times bestseller Dianna Love.To an undercover agent, she’s a Person of Interest. He’s interested.Escaping the compound of a deadly international felon--with a fortune in rare, stolen coins hidden on her body--elite athlete Angel Farentino has to make the most important run of her life. Literally. With her father in prison, where he belongs, and a prior undeserved conviction hanging over [...]

Plenty of action with a tough heroine and a hero that’s a jack of a few trades. From the opening scene of Angel Farentino escaping from where she was being held and stowing away on a plane to a fiery explosion of a boat you are on the edge of your seat. Angel had to be the most unluckiest heroine in a book. Her mother had been an alcoholic and died when she was young and her father ended up ruining her chance of going to college on a track scholarship by using her as a drug mule against her kn [...]

This is probably going to be much briefer than I originally typed, but my first review didn't make it. *mutter* The marvels of living in the middle of nowhere with connections that are not very quick. *mumble*Anyways, I purchased this book as part of The Perfect Ten collection which I snagged at the awesomely marvelous deal of $.99. As if I'm crazy enough to pass up ten full-length novels for a dollar. Even if I hadn't read many(any) of the authors previously. I figured that it wouldn't hurt to [...]

Last Chance to Run reminded me of Cinderella. Well, if Cinderella was on the run from a maniac killer and Prince Charming wielded a gun and flew a plane. Our heroine, Angel, has gotten screwed every which way by life. Even her dad betrayed her, sending her to prison for a year as a drug mule - something she did not do. Finally, after years of scrubbing toilets and shuffling at the dump, she gets her dream job! A worker at a warehouse. She even gets promoted to inventory clerk. When she finds a sto [...]

Very, very, very good!!! I'm so happy to have read it!!!I loved absolutely everything about this book!Usually I don't like books where the heroine is withdrawing something from the hero, even if she's aware that he can help her, but here I loved it! It was really very well explained and made sense that I couldn't do anything else than accepte and justify it! Excellent! The heoine was a tough girl. I don't mean tough fisically, even if she's an Olimpionic quality athlete, but as a person. Everythi [...]

After Angel Farentino is wrongly accused of a crime, she comes out of prison only to land in a dream job that turns into a nightmare. On the run, trying to clear her name, she lands onboard Zane Jackson’s charter plane. Trust is a big issue and working through it causes a lot of problems. Dianna Love takes us through an adrenaline fueled adventure that makes us want to catch our breath as it also makes us want to read faster.

Non-stop action and romance done well.

Almost 2.5 stars. This was Dianna Love Snell aka Dianna Love's debut book. It won the 2005 RITA for 'long contemporary'. As far as I know, this is her only book written under this name.I probably expected more from this story because of the ratings and Ms. Love winning the award. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the time I finished. There was just too much repetitiveness; in other words, fluff but not much substance. Zane Black works for the D.E.A. as a pilot while undercover on an assignment [...]

Wow! This was an amazing book! If you like a book with suspense, action, and romance don’t pass this book by. Angel was running for her life. She hid away in a small plane. After takeoff Zane saw her bruised and battered body. His gut twisted. He didn’t know who had hurt her, but he wanted to protect her. Angel tried to keep Zane away. She knew the men that was after her, would hurt anyone to get to her. Angel got into some scary situations that kept me holding my breath. Zane always managed [...]

Angel Farentino can’t catch a break. With an alcoholic mother she is framed by her father as a drug mule for which she spends a year in jail. She thinks she got lucky when she gets hired on at a warehouse until she finds out that the sadistic owner is a bigger creep than her dad. She is now on the run with proof that her boss is a thief. She has the gold coins he stole that have his fingerprints all over them. She stows away on Zane Jacksons plane and the fun begins. He for some reason gives h [...]

A perfect combination of thriller and romance. I dare anyone to try and put this book down before they are at least one third of the way through. Love pulled me into the story on page one, and I gasped for air as the plot sped along. The characters are fun and likable, and they're story is highly entertaining. A great mix of romance and suspense. I highly recommend it.

I read this on vacation and it's the perfect beach read. The opening scene sucked me right in and I read half the book in one sitting. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

    • Hbeebti says:

This was an easy read. It was fast paced and kept my attention throughout the book.

    • Tomi says:

Started reading, but ended up skimming, hoping that it would get better. Unfortunately, it didn't. How often can a person hop into bed or think about sex when they are supposedly running for their life? And randomly sticking the Orion Legacy in at the endch an obvious plug for another book. Well, I won't be bothering, so I guess I will have to guess about this legacy.

I liked this a lot and would have given it 5 stars if were not for the Czarion ending. It's was like characters just came out of thin air.

PARTIAL REVIEW; JUNE 18, 2014Narrator: Adam HaninI'll have to come back to this another day. This is the second or third time I'm trying to listen to this book but keep losing interest and falling asleep:( I won't rate this book since I only listened to half the book in total so this partial review is only about my impression of it based on what I did hear, and mainly for my future reference should I decide to look it up again.I think there's something there in the book that's worth reading/list [...]

I do believe I have just read the runningest heroine ever written. And yes, I made up a word. Angel will never see a last chance to run. She will take advantage of any opportunity to run, far away as fast as her legs will carry her. She has been betrayed by the one person who should have cared for her no matter what. The judicial system who should have treated her to a fair representation failed her. The employer who extended an olive branch that she didn’t realize was no boon. Everyone close [...]

3.5 Stars for the prequel to Dianna Love's Slye Temp series. This book is about Angelina "Angel" Farentino who was falsely accused of a crime and spent a year in prison. Once out she went to work for a large company and when she noticed stolen artwork in the warehouse she went to the owner to let him know. Unfortunately he is behind the illegal artwork. He fully expects Angel to get on board with his illegal activities in light of her past prison time and has a personal interest in her as well. [...]

For this review, I'd like to share notes I jotted as I read as I think it's the best feedback I can give as a reader. I knew from the start that I was in this book until the very end. No way could I have stepped away from Zane and Angel's story. I HAD to know that they were going to make it.The moments when I was drawn irrevocably to the hearts of the hero and heroine:"Like hell, I do want to kiss you." Zane practically yells this at Angel.Look at the positive. All those battle scars still belon [...]

I enjoyed this book. This is the first I've read by this author & it's a great romp of a story. Some of the storylines are totally believable. But it reads like a romantic action film; which makes it good fun! Angel is definitely one strong lady who to a certain extent you can understand is slightly wary around the police. And she gets herself into some very sticky situations but she also gets herself out again which makes it interesting - she doesn't wait around to be rescued. Zane is a gre [...]

For some reason, this one was a little long getting off the ground, at least for me. The story did pick up later on in the book, but it seemed to take too long. Maybe because the characters and the plot all seemed kind of vague, even though the standard plot devices for a rom-sus were there, e.g. rugged ex-military guy who takes on everyone's problems with his own, beautiful girl in trouble with the requisite bad guys trying to kill her, as well as what Hitchcock referred to as the McGuffin. (No [...]

Action, suspense, steamy romance. Everything you want in a romantic suspense. Angel is an ex-con who is trying to escape a dangerous man. Zane doesn't trust easily but can't help wanting to help the vulnerable woman who stows away on his plane. I loved both characters and the way they gravitated toward one another, even though they had trust issues. I just loved this book. Kept me interested to the very end. Also sets up for a series, which I would love to continue. I highly recommend this.I lis [...]

I first read this story in its shorter version when Harlequin published it years ago and before Ms. Love got the rights back and reworked the story into something even better. The action-packed page-turner deserved the Rita award it received, as I couldn't stop turning pages then or now in the expanded story. Zane and Angel are characters who engaged me from the get-go. Their troubles weren't easy ones with a pat solution, proving once again that Ms. Love is the queen of making it hard on her ch [...]

First book I've read from this author. Fantastic!!!!!!!!A woman on the run from her employer, who had her locked away, stows away on an undercover DEA pilot's plane. With Angel trying to locate the coins she stole from her boss who had them stolen and Zane trying to figure out the mystery of who Angel is.Nail biting, edge of your seat suspense with a little sex and a whole lotta sexual tension. The ending could have been better. It goes from Zane & Angel in one chapter to three other people [...]
